What you need, it’s all here.

  • The Studio

1800 square feet of food photography fun. Built in 2020, this space is equipped with a fully functional, stocked (and photo-worthy) kitchen. The shooting area includes a work space and high speed internet, plus plenty of elbow room for us to make a mess together.

Attached to the studio is a large guest room with a full bath and laundry, perfect if you’re from out of town or need a space for models to prep wardrobe, hair and makeup.

  • Tools of the Trade

In terms of gear, we have everything required to bring your creative visions to life. Stop motion animation, 4K slow-mo video, professional photo and video lighting, high speed strobes and more megapixels than our 2001 selves could have ever imagined.

  • Food and Props Styling

The running joke is that I got into food photography to justify my love of buying plates, glassware, flatware and all manner of kitchen “props”. My extensive props and surfaces collection is available to use for your shoot. And if there’s something you need that I don’t have, sourcing things is our specialty.

Something else we specialize in around here? Making food look beautiful. If you can dream it, we can prep, cook and style it.

Working Remotely Together

Since becoming a full-time food photographer in 2015, I have primarily worked remotely with clients, many who I consider friends but have never met in person.

Cookbooks, packaging, ad campaigns. I’ve dialed in a workflow and the technology to make working together easy so you get the images you need no matter where you are in the world. Of course, if you’re local to Phoenix or find yourself here, the door’s always open and I love hosting clients on set.

The Production Process

  • Pre-Production

We build every production on the understanding that we’re not simply creating pretty pictures. We’re creating images and content intended for an important purpose, to propel your business forward. Our pre-production meetings get at the heart of understanding your goals and vision and planning out the important details so that we have a smooth and successful shoot day.

Pre-production also includes the logistics coordination of shipping your products, scheduling with important stakeholders in the shoot, test shoots, and organizing image comps, mood boards and storyboards when applicable.

  • Shoot Day

Whether you’re on set or remotely joining us or we’re at your place, this is our favorite part of the process. With the help of tethered capture you’ll be able to see images coming through in real time and get as excited as we do to see the creative vision come to life.

Extra perk of attending a shoot in our studio? Fresh baked Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies.

  • Delivery

We deliver final image files via Photoshelter and video via WeTransfer and have a ridiculously redundant backup system (like, overkill x 1000).
